Anniversary competition

Regrettably because of the high level of COVID infections in East Lancashire, we felt it necessary to cancel the Anniversary competition. Apologies to those of you who entered and to those that have tried to enter.

We are confident the Junior Championship will go ahead at Lee Park on Sunday 4th July, this is our “Flagship” event with a 36 hole stroke play competition for handicap Index 18.0 or less and an 18 hole Stableford competition for Handicap Index 18.1 – 36.0. It would help greatly with our planning if you could submit your entry as soon as possible.

Regarding selection for the Junior team matches, Cheshire, and now Yorkshire have requested very low handicap ranges (1-7) we expect this to change when we play Cumbria and Durham and  look forward to being able to select higher handicap players.

We can confirm that the Northern Counties Junior Jamboree will go ahead at the Wynyard Club in Durham on 26th and 27th July, this event is for players with a handicap index above 15. We will be selecting the team after the Junior Championship and would encourage you to play in this event if possible.

Finally, could I ask you to renew your membership of LGGA, if you were a member in 2020 there is no fee but we do need you to join.
