Ladies, Girls

We are nearly at the end of week one of social distancing and self-isolation with a few more to go.

It has been a very different year to the one expected when I came into office in late November.

You will have noticed that we have had to cancel two of our most popular competitions the Shields and the Scott Leggatt foursomes. This is due to the uncertainty at the moment and the need to complete a number of matches over a period of time.

I have to announce we are cancelling the Elsie Corlett. Hopefully we are looking to rearrange this competition for later in the year. The Treasurer will be refunding the entry fees via PayPal.

Please reapply when we give you a new date which will be posted on the website.

The Scratch and Handicap Interclub are postponed. Please watch the website for new dates as we are presently in negotiation with the clubs involved.

I am sure like me you are taking the opportunity to catch up on all those things we neglect during our golfing season and taking advantage of the good weather in the garden.

I shall continue to post updates on the website as things develop. In the meantime please keep yourself and your families safe and healthy in these difficult and worrying times.

I look forward to meeting you all when things improve and we can hopefully put all this behind us.
