The Abraham Trophy takes place at Gerrards Cross Golf Club on 5 August 2019.
Lancashire has two qualifiers - Lydia Cryer (Nelson) is one of eight Regional winners and Emily James (Royal Lytham & St Annes) has qualified for the third time in four years.
Qualifying Format:
Each player submits their six best net scores in relation to the standard scratch score of the course. All scores must be from 18-hole stroke play competitions that are qualifying for handicap purposes. These rounds may be from any individual medal, stableford or bogey/par competitions. At least one score must be an ‘away’ score.
The best score from each of the 8 regions will automatically qualify for the national final, in the event of a tie for the regional winner, the player with the greatest handicap reduction will be the winner and qualify for the national final. The next 12 players with the best average net scores, in relation to the Standard Scratch Score, will qualify for the National Final.
The competition is an 18 hole medal competition played on the practice day of the English Girls Under 16 and Under 14 Open Amateur Championship. The winner will be the player returning the lowest net score.
