Lancashire Girls v Boys match
Welcome to the Lancashire Ladies' County Golf Association website. We are here to provide training and competitions for golfers at all levels of the game, from young girls who have yet to hit a ball, to elite golfers representing their County and their Country. So whether you have no handicap, play off 54, or are a scratch golfer, we look forward to meeting you at our events.

It is with great sadness that we have had to make the decision to cancel the County Championship. We thank Worsley Golf Club for trying to accommodate us but sadly the entry fell below our minimum criteria and after discussion I do not feel it is a viable competition. Also this week we heard that the County Finals at Spalding Golf Club has been cancelled by England Golf.
Now for some happier news. I look forward to meeting some of the girls at the Captain’s v President’s match on the 17th August. Also we have a good entry for the Lady Derby qualifier at Bury and indeed the Frances Smith at Ellesmere. It will be a pleasure to meet some of you again.
8 girls are on the starting line for the English Women’s Strokeplay. A similar number of girls are playing in the English under 18’s Championship the following week. We also have 4 girls playing in the British Women’s Championship at West Lancashire. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and successful few weeks. My only regret is that due to Covid-19 restrictions I am unable to come and support.
