The Lancashire Girls’ Golf Association
The Lancashire Girls’ Golf Association is open to all girls aged under 21 who already enjoy or now want to start playing golf. There are plenty of events during the year for our members at every level from a beginner to a plus handicap player.
18 hole competitions run from April to October for players with Congu handicaps up to 35.4.
All other girls can play in the 9 hole competitions we hold on par 3 courses and members are encouraged to play as soon as they join
Matches are played annually against other counties and associations to give many girls a chance to be included.
Training Days with our County Coaches are offered to as many girls as possible.
Introduction to Golf Days
Girls who are new to a Lancashire golf club or who do not yet take part in LGGA events will be invited by Linda Marr (County Junior Organiser) to come to one of these for a couple of hours. They will spend time with our PGA Professional who will give them helpful tuition and advice. County officials are there to meet them and answer any questions.

Rules
The Competition Organiser reserves the right to refuse entries after the closing date.
- An entrance fee of £5 is payable on the day of 18 hole LGGA competitions, 9 hole £3
- To be able to play in a LGGA competition, proof of a CONGU handicap must be shown.
- Competitors are responsible for knowing their correct handicap.
- Competitors are requested to arrive at least 1/2 hour before their tee-off time and stay for the
presentation if they are a prize winner. - No caddies allowed.
- Please read and obey local and dress rules of any club you visit. Always take a change of clothes with you to a golf club. Never go without your waterproofs and an umbrella.
