Lancashire Ladies' County Championship
The closing date for the 2012 County Championship to be held at Manchester Golf Club from 28 - 30 May has been extended for one week to Monday 30 April.
If you have a handicap of 15.4 or less you are eligible to enter.
There are 2 match play flights of 16 players after 36 holes qualifying.

The 2012 Spring Meeting was held at Clitheroe Golf Club on Sunday 22 April.
There were 31 competitors in the 2 events.
The Spring Meeting also includes the first round of the Rosebowl Competition. Scores from this and the Autumn Meeting determine the winner.

EWGA Abraham Trophy

Presented by Lieutenant-Commander Abraham in memory of his stepmother Mrs D I ABRAHAM, Lancashire Captain twice and President. The trophy is open to girls with a CONGU handicap, who have not reached their 18th birthday before 1st January and are eligible to enter the English Girls’, English Under 15 or English Under 13 Championships.

The competition will run from 1 March 2011 to 29 February 2012 and players will be supplied with a certificate on which to state their handicap, together with their best six nett scores in relation to the LGU/USGA Standard Scratch Score. This must include at least one away score (English courses only). All scores in 18 hole competitions, played under stroke play conditions may count.

The Country is divided into eight areas for the Abraham Trophy. The eight Area Winners and the next twelve players with the best average nett scores (including those who tie) will qualify for the National Final to be played prior before the two English Girls’ Championships.

Area 1

Cheshire, Cumbria and Lancashire

The National Final will be played at Delamere Forest, Cheshire on Sunday 29th July prior to the English Girls' Championships and will be an 18 hole medal competition. Play will be from the Championship tees as set for the English Girls’ Under 15 & Under 13 Championships. Caddy rules as for the English Girls’ Championships. The player with the best average nett score in relation to the SS of the courses played on will win her area memento. The Final is to be played on current handicap, with the winner to hold the Abraham Trophy for one year.

Entry forms are obtainable from County Junior Organisers or the Championship Manager of the English Women’s Golf Association. Entries close at 12.00 noon on Friday 30 March 2012.

Note: When the area winners are announced there will still be time to enter for the English Girls’ Championship or Under 15 & Under 13 Championships. These events are being played from 31 July - 2nd August at Sandiway Golf Club and Delamere Forest Golf Club respectively.
