Congu Announce Changes
The Council of National Golf Unions (CONGU) has announced that the Unified Handicapping System has been revised and the changes will take effect from 01 January 2016. England Golf will host a series of Handicap Roadshows in January and February to help clubs understand and implement the changes by the deadline of 1 March 2016. LLCGA Annual General Meeting 2015
The LLCGA Annual General Meeting took place at Wellington Park, Leyland. Mrs Jennifer Adams (Pleasington) took over from Mrs Brenda Flett (Rochdale) as County Captain. Mrs Dinah Vaux (Formby Ladies') became the Vice Captain. Mrs Ruth Cooper (Fairhaven) continues as County President. Mrs Delia Naylor (Hon Treasurer) presented the Balance Sheet. Reports on Lancashire golf in 2015 were given by the Captain, Jennifer Adams (B team) and Liz Robinson (Juniors). The Captain thanked Anne Baines for her services to the County during her time as County Training Officer. The trophies were presented to the winning clubs and individuals by the Captain. LLCGA would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Raffle that was drawn by the Captain before the Meeting. It raised £900 towards the costs for the Northern Junior Jamboree held at Grange-over-Sands Golf Club in August.

2 County Development Officers for Lancashire
England Golf have appointed two County Development Officers for Lancashire. Debbie Barber, a member of Blackley GC will work with clubs in Greater Manchester and East Lancashire. the Lancashire Under 14 and 14-18 County Academy Programme.

The Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs and the Lancashire Ladies County Golf Association operate a regional under 14’s programme for players aged 13 or under at midnight on 31st December 2015, and a County Academy Programme (CAP) for players aged 14 to 18 years old. This provides a complete pathway for boys and girls to develop their talent to the highest potential level.
All players who have been in this 2015 programme and wish to continue must apply again now.
Applications can be made until 31/12/2015.
