Lancashire Girls' Family Greensomes 
The Lancashire Girls' 2015 competitions ended with the Family Greensomes Fun Day at Southport Golf Family GreensomesAcademy. The winners were Emily Halstead and her father Simon from Rochdale GC, closely followed by Rossendale's Boh and Anthony Greenwood. In third place was Lucy and Jez Moss from Bentham GC.

Divisional Shield Matches Draw Meetings for 2016


The 2016 Shield Match Draw Meetings will be held as follows:-
North West: Monday 02 November at Lytham Green Drive GC. 10 am Handicap. 11 am Bronze.
South West: Monday 16 November at Woolton GC at 10 am.
East:            Wednesday 18 November at Accrington GC at 10.30 am.
South East:
  Monday 23 November at Manchester GC 10.30 am Handicap. 11 am Bronze.

Tracy and Louise win trip to Portugal 
Tracey Capal (Manchester) and Louise Aspden (Ellesmere) won the Your Travel Golf inaugural fourball better ball northern qualifier at Aldwark Manor GC, York. They now join 3 couples from the south of England in a trip to Portugal for the knock-out stages. The winners will play with Darren Clarke in the Portuguese Pro Am on 14 October.

Two Lancashire clubs win through to Daily Mail Foursomes Finals
Leigh GC represented by Nicky Martin and Heather Pirie and St Annes Old Links by Chris Appleby and Sarah McNamara have won through to the Finals of the Daily Mail Foursomes to be played at the Marriot Forest of Arden on 18 + 19 October. In the last round before the Finals the Leigh players beat Welshpool GC while St Annes Old beat the Bolton Old Links pairing of Carol Helme and Karen Sawyer at the 19th. 12 years ago Chris Appleby played in the Finals at the Forest of Arden and took the title with Iris Bratten.

the Lancashire Under 14 and 14-18 County Academy Programme.

The Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs and the Lancashire Ladies County Golf Association operate a regional under 14’s programme for players aged 13 or under at midnight on 31st December 2015, and a County Academy Programme (CAP) for players aged 14 to 18 years old. This provides a complete pathway for boys and girls to develop their talent to the highest potential level.

All players who have been in this 2015 programme and wish to continue must apply again now.
