LGGA Autumn Meeting 

Silver Division Stroke Play Competition. CSS 75   SSS 74
winnerBoh Greenwood (Royal Birkdale) won her second 2017 LGGA competition when she scored an excellent 80-7-73 nett in the Autumn Meeting at Hesketh GC. This was just one shot better than Macy McKinley (Morecambe) with 89-15-74 beating Emily James (Royal Lytham) on a card play-off. Emily's score of 82-8-74 was helped by an eagle 2 on the 333 yards 8th hole.

Bryony Evans completed a double for Royal Birkdale with a winning score of 42 points. Jessica Pindar (Eccleston Park) was second with 38 points. Martha Hodgson (Leyland) finished in third place with 36 points.

LGGA Millennium Trophy   Preston Golf Club   CSS 73   SSS 73

Chloe Murray (Hillside) won the Millennium Trophy for the second consecutive year with an excellent Stableford score of 46 points at Preston GCwinners. Niamh Moss (Haydock Park) took second place with 41 points. Jessica Picton (Hart Common) was third with 38 points after a card play off with Leah Butler (Formby Ladies') who started with a birdie 2.
2s were also scored by Amy Fletcher (Preston), Liyana Laheri (Pleasington) and Jessica Parker (Kirkby Lonsdale).
Other leading scores: 36 points Emily Halstead (Rochdale), 35 points Amy Fletcher and Claudia Hastings (Royal Birkdale). Photographs ...

LLCGA Junior Championship 

championSwinton Park GC. First Round CSS 72. Second Round CSS 73.                                                      
Maddie Raine (Harwood) won the 2017 Junior Championship when she birdied the first hole of the sudden death play-off against Lauren Green (West Lancashire) after they had tied with a 36 hole total of 155 gross. This was the first play-off since 1974, watched by the rest of the competitors , parents and officials in glorious sunshine.
As Junior Champion Maddie can play in England Golf's Junior Champion of Champion's competition at Woodhall Spa in September. She was also the Daily Telegraph Junior Golfer of the Year winner from this event.
The Nett Aggregate prize went to Grace Evans (Fleetwood). Het total of 140 was helped by an excellent afternoon round of 67 nett. Courtney Willis (Leyland) was just one shot behind her.   Photographs ...

Bethany Griffiths (Lee Park) continued on her winning ways with 42 stableford points. This was only one point more than Molly Bridge (Wigan). Emily Halstead (Rochdale) was third with 40 points

winnerThe Anniversary Competition was played at Widnes Golf Club on a lovely sunny day that produced some excellent scores in both competitions. Bethany Griffiths (Lee Park) scored 50 stableford points in her first LGGA competition. A very good entry again especially in the Silver Division with many of the girls having had handicap reductions since the Spring Meeting..

18 Hole Competition Rules

The Competition Organiser reserves the right to refuse entries after the closing date.

  1. A completed entry form and entrance fee should be sent by post to CJO SUE GRIFFITHS by the relevant closing date. Cheques to be made payable to LLCGA. This will be acknowledged within 7 days. Please contact Sue Griffiths if you do not receive this.

  2. A current handicap certificate must be produced on the day of the competition.

  3. Failure to do so could result in disqualification from the competition.

  4. Competitors should arrive in sufficient time to be prepared to play at their allotted tee time.

  5. No competitor may have a caddie.

  6. All observers must follow the LLCGA Spectator Code. LLCGA Spectator Code

  7. Penalty for breach of Rule - Player's disqualification from the competition.

  8.  Players with a disability/medical condition must produce an up-to-date Doctor's Certificate stating that they must be accompanied by one adult at the start of each season before playing in a LLCGA or LGGA event.

  9. LGGA Scratch and Handicap aggregate trophies are presented annually to players who have entered a minimum of 3 LGGA events (Junior Championship included).

Please read and obey local and dress rules of any club you visit. Always take a change of clothes with you to a golf club. Never go without your waterproofs and an umbrella.
